This means you have had a perfectly performed PAP smear because these are important cells to see under the microscope, to rule out cervical cancer.  thanks

More than "mild"...: Most GI docs visually rate inflammation as mild, moderate, or severe. There are standardized criteria for each portion of the gut, and these often correlate with histologic severity of disease. When you receive your biopsy results, ask your endoscopist the question you posted for the greatest accuracy of response.

if endo tested me for celiac's disease and i had normal blood results, does it mean i can eat foods with gluten without problems?

Depends: In order for the gluten test to be reliable, you have to be ingesting gluten.  If this was the case, then the question would be whether you are allergic to wheat or not.  There is some concern that despite the absence of celiac disease, some people may still have symptoms from it (Nonceliac gluten intolerance).  If  you have problem from gluten, then  avoid it regardless of the test result.

i had an endo & colonoscopy. the nurse called  last wk & adv that the results showed the polyp removed was precancerous but benign;what does this mean?

You're ok: The nurse was likely referring to an adenomatous polyp, a common type of colon polyp that, if it had not been removed, could have turned into cancer some day.  The polyp has presumably been removed and is no longer a danger to you. However, you (and any mother, father, brother, sister, son or daughter) are at elevated risk to form more polyps and will need to have more closer follow up exams.

Listen to endo: Hi. The endo specializes in this kinda thing; listen to her/him. Cysts are very unlikely to be cancer. If you drain them, they tend to re-accumulate (unless alcohol is infused after drainage). They don't affect thyroid function. Get a second opinion if it would make you more comfortable. Good luck!

There are a couple: of ways to measure the thickness of the endometrial lining..by ultrasound or by endometrial biopsy. Most agree that a thickness of 1 cm or 10 mm is classified as "thickened." Especially in older women, a thickened endometrium may suggest cancer, but most often non-cancerous causes explain it: normal hormonal changes, obesity, diabetes, polycystic ovarian syndrome. Your Doctor will advise.

Clear liquids: colonoscopy prep instructions usually require clear liquids along with the actual preparation. Clear liquids are essentially any liquid which you can see through, which precludes any dairy products. Be sure to take all of the preparation, even if the liquid coming out is already clear. Endometrium: It is the thickness of the endometrial lining around the uterine cavity.  I wonder if 0.65mm is a typo, and it really is 6.5mm or 0.65cm. In any case, it is probably normal.

upper endo many sessile polyps3-6mm. been on prilosec yrs. should i stop prilosec? sessile polyps mean cancer?

Fundic gland polyps: these types of polyps in the fundus of the stomach are of no real concern. They do not increase the chances of cancer. They are not a reason to stop your Prilosec, if you need it. Your endoscopist will be able to follow up with you concerning them. Good luck.
