Probably not TB since skin test has been positive and "clear" chest x-ray in 2009.
See pulmonologist  for workup.

See details: Why would you want to avoid a simple x ray? Radiation exposure is minimal and it is essential to properly evaluate someone suspected of having tb.

Imaging center: Your doctor should have given you a referral slip for the chest xray.  They may have a particular imaging place they want you to go to, but you can go to almost any imaging center or hospital.  Most positive TB test chest x-rays will be normal so try not to worry too much until you have your results.

Looks different: Pneumonia is a patchy or consolidated infiltrate,  and TB are smaller cavitay lesions or spots in the lung.

Accepted Answer

No: The skin test is a screening test to see if you might have been exposed to or contracted tb.  If the skin test is positive, a chest x-ray is done to see if you have active tb.

Yes..: Xray will show a pattern suspicious for TB. Sputum, Blood test, Skin test will pinpoint the Dx.

i was exposed to tb about 25 years ago and never got treated for it.  i recently talked to my pcp and she ordered a chest x-ray and it came back norma?

Xray: A normal chest X-Ray is strong evidence that you don't have active pulmonary tb. If you previously had a negative tb skin test that recently turned positive, treatment by an infectious disease expert would be advisable.

i am a 23, female with a history of tb (during my high school at the age of 14-15) from the philippines. i just wanna ask if the scar will be seen if i took a chest x-ray this month? if yes, is there a way that the scarring will not be seen or cured?

: Yes it would  probably be seen if that was the primary lesion. sometimes these scars disapperar too. Therev is no way of telling which one's and who's. If you have no symptoms you're O. K.

TB: If you work with TB patient then you are a high risk candidate. Your should likely be tested for TB or at least double check with a provider to see if you have had recent testing and it was negative. do i  have tb risk? iam from the a country where tb is common. i have thick white mucus/phlegm, but no cough. how ever there's a time that i spit blood with it (twice/thrice only) today i spit with yellow mucous i done a chest x ray and its negative.
