I would think so.: Burning poison Ivy is quite dangerous. Urushiol  is  the oily  allergen in the various poison Ivies and trees  that causes classic allergic reactions. It can become airborne and may end up on different surfaces or be inhaled.

Not allergy: If you are allergic you will have itch. If there is pain and burning only with no itch it is probably due to trauma (skin abrasion), and subsequent inflammation.

YES- can be fatal!: One should never burn poison ivy. The smoke contains the oil and when inhaled it can cause a very serious, even potentially fatal reaction. This is a medical emergency that requires immediate treatment!

Not Likely: It is unlikely that you got poison ivy from your car after driving through smoke from a fire where someone was burning poison ivy.

It may: have been an allergic rash or is it "shingles"? a doctor should look at the rash asap

Dermatology Consult: There are many potential causes for the rash  you are describing.  Without a thorough examination and possibly other testing, the cause cannot be determined.  The best specialist to evaluate this kind of problem would be a dermatologist.

i am experiencing  soreness or burning inside of mouth and itchy rash on my leg, i believe i may have gotten poison ivy on my leg and scratched it before noticing what it was and maybe i got it on my mouth. anything i can do to help relieve my mouth?

Drug reaction?: Only thing I can think of affecting both the mouth and the skin would be a drug reaction. Was there a new drug introduced within 2 weeks prior to onset ? I suspect that they are unrelated since poison ivy does not  cause mouth problem unless you are chewing it . For sore mouth, try switching to Biotene toothpaste. For the skin, topical hydrocortisone . See allergist if not better.

Cortisone cream: You likely have continuing contact with poison ivy through contaminated articles of clothing , the interior of you car (steering wheel , armrest?), or even furniture. You will need to apply a cortisone cream (may need a Rx strength) to the rash and using dish or laundry detergent to clean out (wear gloves)  items (especially the shoes)  you might have touched on the day of the exposure

my husband got poison ivy on his penis. it has been since saturday the 3rd of september since his been taking medicine and was exposed on the 1st of september well pulling weeds. he still has a rash. when are we able to have sex again?

: Not until his penis is free of any eruptions.  Have him examined, treated &amp; advised by a dermatologist.
