Bleaching: Most bleaching systems come as either a gel that is placed in a tray that you then place in your mouth or a strip impregnated with the bleaching material that you place over your teeth like a bandaid. These are also a buffered system so as not to burn your tissues. Hydro peroxide is usually used by the dentist in a controlled environment chairside, and should never be used as a rinse.

Tooth whitening?: Being on Accutane does not preclude the use of tooth whitening procedures. However, i can't tell you that it's alright to whiten your teeth without actually seeing you. You should have not cavities or broken fillings, your gums should be healthy and you should be seen by your own dentist first to discuss your options and what would be best for you. Finally you can't whiten fillings or crowns.

By "used" Did You : mean that the dentist bleached your teeth? Or did he give you a kit that you used at home?
Bleaching can make the teeth sensitive and it's not for everyone. First, consult with your dentist to see if further whitening efforts are ok.

Get younger, or…: Do the smart thing and go to see your dentist for professional help. Of course you could try to do it on your own and use the caustic chemicals needed without the professional guidance of an expert. Otc methods can work , but usually have lower concentrarions because of the lack of professional guidance. Otherwise, just keep them clean with daily floss and brush.

Those patients who have mantained white teeth over the years stay away from foods that stain, such as red wine, coffee, tea...Etc.
