Iron deficiency anemia is noted quite frequently on initial presentation.

Blood in stool: Either gross red blood, melena or black stool, or occult blood; pain and cramping.  But these are signs of advanced cancer.  Early diagnosis is key to successful treatment, and that is why doctors recommend screening colonoscopy at age 50.  Under age 50, colon cancer is rare unless you have some predilection to it, such as ulcerative colitis or polyposis.  Ask your dr for specific recommendation.

Rarely: No appetite (anorexia) is a rare and late presentation of colon cancer.  Your age is another reason you are unlikely to have colon cancer.  Rectal bleeding, change in stools or abdominal pain/bloating are more common symptoms.  Anorexia can indicate other problems so i recommend you see your doctor, especially if it is making you lose weight!
