Accepted Answer

Not as good if...: You did not smoke at all.  Smoking is bad.  Nothing good comes out of smoking, and it is never too late to stop.  A 3 year history is better than a 4 year history, stop now and hopefully you will be fine.

Some increase: One risk factor for developing a pneumothorax is smoking from a water pipe (bong), as the deep inhalations and long breath holding put the lungs under pressure. It is not clear if the pot itself is a risk or the use of a water pipe alone is the problem, and it is not known how often this happens as a percentage of all use.

CT scan's effects...: Having 7 ct scans, of just parts of the body each time, spread over a period of more than ten years, should have no noticeable effect on one's health. However, the symptoms that lead to a person needing ct scans may reflect some diseases that do affect health.

Immune system: Aspergillosis is a disease that is not routinely seen in people with normally functioning immune system. A healthy immune system will fight aspergillus fungus to prevent its, orbit effect. So, to answer your question, you want to make sure your immune system is functioning well. Make sure you have adequate nutrition, avoid unhealthy rabbits - smoking, excessive alcohol, drugs etc.

Yes: Fibrosis is used lightly at times like a scar or small fibrosis after an infection. Real pulmonary fibrosis would be different and usually progressive. You seem to have had a good talk with your md and reassured. Relax, enjoy your travel.

is it ok to swallow water that you gurgle, is there a chance of it accidentally going into my lungs or would i know by me coughing?

Normal swallow: First, lets decide if we want to swallow the water from gargling. In general, for any liquid we swallow, we do it very well. Our mouth and tongue help us to form a bolus, and initiate the swallow, our epiglottis covers our airway and down the esophagus goes what ever we put in our mouths. When distracted, talking, starting a cough, or a chuckle when we should be closing the epiglottis, we cough.

sincee i have cancer, is there a chance i could get it in my lungs also since i have clots in the lungs now? i am so afraid!

Depends on...: It depends on the type on cancer, how far along it is, how the treatment is going, etc... Some cancers can spread to the lungs, but some cancers are not likely spread to the lungs. One's cancer doctor can talk more about this, because it depends on the details of the individual patient.

Good: Must of the pulmonary emboli are asymptomatic just because they are very small.  But when patients have symptomatic pulmonary emboli and they are treated 96% of them resolve without sequelae.  It is only the 4% that do not resolve and can cause problems down the line.  So chances of good outcome are on your side...

Think Positive: Viability is normally defined as 24 weeks gestation.  However, survival chances depend on the institution where you will be delivering (hopefully a Level 3 NICU); the availability of experienced neonatologists, appropriate equipment, etc.  Additionally, remember that babies born at such young ages are at risk of having many problems even if they do survive.  Hopefully that baby will wait.

Metastatic melons a: The survival rate is very poor and side effects are many life span is measured in months and cure is almost non existent.
