Metastatic melons a: The survival rate is very poor and side effects are many life span is measured in months and cure is almost non existent.

Depends: Depends on what treatment/patient.Now we have new drugs such as braf inhibitor, which can only be used if patients are braf mutated, if they do survival can go more than year. If you get high dose il2 , there is a very small chance it can go many years, same with ipilimumab. In gereral all depends on patient, s characteristics, sirvival can range from months to years.

Depends: It depends on how many metastatic tumors are present, if they can be removed with an operation (ask your surgeon), and what kind of chemotherapy you are eligible for based on the genetic analysis of your melanoma tumor. Generally metastatic melanoma has a very limited survival, but within the last 2 years or so there are at least 2 very promising drugs that have improved this somewhat.
