: When you fast, the protein gets concentrated so more will show up in the urine. When you don’t fast, you dilute the protein so there is less in the urine. Your doctor should interpret your results since your doctor knows you best. Good luck to you!

Protein shake: 1 scoop protein powder 15gms/ scoop
1 cup Greek yogurt (25 gms/cup)
1 cup almond milk or 2% milk (8gms/cup)
1/2 cup frozen fruit (berries)

Renal failure: A very high protein diet can challange the kidneys to get rid of the protein. If the kidney is unable to rid itself of the protein, you could be on the way to kidney failure. One advantage of a higher protein diet would be to have a little more protein and a little less fat in the diet. The american diet is way too high in saturated fat- leading to heart disease and stroke.

Health and Diet: None.  There is no special health benefits in protein bars. They are food.  The health comes from a diet high in protein and low in sugars.  Healthy eating is low calorie, low carbohydrate and high in protein.  Thus including protein bars that are low in carbs increases one's total protein calories and thus is part of a healthy daily calorie consumption.
