: Most likely a folliculitis, very common in women after shaving their legs, etc. Suggest that you shave after a bath and use an unscented shaving cream. Also, would be best if you shaved with the grain of the hair, usually downward. Even though it doesn't give you the best "shave", it would help avoid the rash. See your dermatologist  for confirmation of this problem.

See doctor: If a warm compress is not working after 3-4 days, then you need to see a doctor so that they can lance and drain the infection. Then, you'll get antibiotics to take. Without breaking the walls surrounding the infection, the antibiotics may not be able to penetrate through. You'll still do warm compresses to improve blood flow to the area.

Ans: You might die better by seeing your doctor and go on an abtibiotic for a longer term. You need to destroy the colonized bacteria. Use good hygiene. And your warm compress helps when the access is already formed.

: You did not mention if the “lumps “ are located on the inside or out side of the shin bone. The muscles are attached along the border with the bone.  Long standing caused swelling where the muscles are attached to the. Warm compresses are perfect for the condition. However, I would ice the first 24-36 hours. Strengthening the muscles will help. Arch supports or orthotics or good supportive shoes

However, brown/black always raises the concern of necrosis/gangrene, so if there are worsening symptoms such as pain or swelling, i would immediately go to the er.
