If : If you think you are having bloody vomit and stool, then you should be evaluated as soon as possible. Give your doctor a call. If you cannot get a hold of your doctor then you should go to the emergency room for testing. It could be anything from infection, anal fissures, hemorrhoids, to more serious causes such as an esophageal tear, bleeding ulcer, inflammatory bowel disease, colon cancer, vascular malformation or bowel ischemia. my son is presently using covocort and he is having side effects of stomach upset, vomiting, headache and blood in stool. can he discontinue with the medication or does he have to continue regardless of the side effects?

Possible IBS: You can possibly have irritable bowel syndrome.  You would have to see your PCP for initial evaluation and then possible  a gastroenterologist for testing.  There are medications that can help your symptoms.

i did a ct scan came back negative for diverticulitis but showed a narrowing of the colon. 3cm. other organs are ok. does it mean i have colon cancer? i have no blood in stool but i had two episode of complete blockage with vomiting. colonoscopy next

Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Please stop smoking. Try OTC Pepcid (famotidine) or Omeprazole .

Most common is hemorrhoids related or it can be from inflammation of the colon(colitis) and in pts above 50 yrs of age malignancy can be a cause. Medications particularly blood thinners can cause it too. See a GI to work up the above and in the meantime please avoid any nsaids like ibuprofen, tylenol (acetaminophen) is safe increase fiber in the diet.
