how can you treat vomiting caused by a concussion?

Go to Emergency Room: Concussions are brain injuries. Repetitive vomiting is a worrisome symptom which needs to be evaluated quickly.  After the emergency room has established it is caused by a concussion and not the more worrisome brain swelling (usually by checking a ct scan of the brain) medication can be given to control the vomiting.

See doctor!: If you are vomiting frequently after a head injury, you need a medical evaluation asap.  Go to an er -- have someone drive you.  At 17, you need your parents' help with this!

Not associated: Concussion does not cause elevated body temperature, and indeed, may best be correlated with an infection.
Visit your doctor and get this further assessed.

Head injury: Worrisome symptoms after a head injury include persistent , frequent or worsening headaches, vomiting, confusion, visual disturbances, or drowsiness . Your partner should be reexamined if vomiting and/or those other symptoms occur.

: Hard to tell if one or the other, or both, BUT it might be prudent to heed Dr. Singh's advice.  Best future health care involves the old fashioned "ounce of prevention."

Unlikely: Post-traumatic voming should have onset within minutes to a few hours after a brain injury. Complete lack of neurologic symptoms in more than two days suggests a different mechanism inducing your vomiting, not a neurologic one.

i had a concussion from direct forehead impact about two weeks ago. i went skydiving yesterday and had a terrible reaction: vomiting, disorientation, headaches, sensitivity to light. is there a possibility the skydiving made the concussion worse?

: It is more likely you had motion sickness or possibly, depending on how high you flew even altitude sickness. If you've been asymptomatic from your concussive episode for a week then there wouldn't be any  residual damage that could trigger symptoms. If you were still having headaches and other problems related to the concussion when you went skydiving the activity could exacerbate your symptoms

Post head injury: The classic post head injury symptoms include headaches, dizziness, drowsiness, nausea,visual disturbance but fever is unusual. If symptoms persist see your physician for evaluation and advice. He/she will order any appropriate tests or imagining exams if deemed advisable.

Be seen: I would certainly be seen immediately.  There are multiple potential causes such as a complex migraine, or even the first presentation of a neurological condition.  Either way, it warrants urgent evaluation to rule out potentially serious conditions.

Concussion: The acute effects of a concussion may last for several days, including headach, nausea and disorientation.  Sleep may be affected.  
The front of his head may have taken a good part of the blow, causing a bruise of the skin, subgaleal hematoma, both outside the head.  I would try Ibuprofen or tylenol (acetaminophen). For the headaches and see your physician if symptoms persist.
