Meats vegetables: Meat contains large amounts of b6, as do green vegetables, such as broccoli and green beans.  One thing to keep in mind is how you cook these foods.  If you char the meat down to a cinder, most of the vitamins will denature.  Likewise for vegetables.  Eating them raw is best, or steam them for 2 or 3 minutes.  If you boil them for 10 minutes, most of the vitamins end up in the water.

No: Depending on your vitamin d levels, you may need this dose.  Many people take this dose without any problem.  The main thing is that you follow up with your doctor and check your vit d levels and any new symptoms.

Therapy: Used by physicians that understand the body chemistry involved. We should not need to do this if our food was grown in an old fashioned way so that the normal vitamin content is present. Chronic vitamin deficiency causes damage to the enzymes for which they are needed and the high doses are to try to revive the affected enzyme(s).

There is some: confusion about vitamin A supplements. An older (1995) study suggested that a very small number of mothers delivered babies with congenital defects if they consumed &gt;10,000 IU of vitamin A in the first 7 weeks of pregnancy. And the beta carotene/carotenoid form, mostly from diet, is best. Target 4000-5000 IU total, 3500 in your supplement. Avoid the retinol form of vitamin A in your supplement.

Intake + Absorption: Vitamin b12, aka cyanocobalamin, is common in a huge variety of foods; low intake rare. However, none of us absorb B12 directly. Instead, the cells of the upper ⅔ of the stomach which secrete hydrochloric, hcl, acid also produce & secrete a protein, called intrinsic-factor, which binds b12. The small intestines absorb intrinsic-factor with whatever B12 is bound, & the B12 is thereby also absorbed.
