Vitamins: The best for good skin is good sleep, hydration, a well balanced diet without a lot of refined sugars, as well as using good cleansing products and moisturizers depending on your skin type. If you are asking about acne, then I am not aware of any supplements that help  reduce that particular problem.

Do you need them?: Different everyday? Like B12 one day &amp; D the next? Probably no benefit even if you're proven deficient. In fact, many studies have failed to prove dramatic improvement in health from taking vitamins &amp; supplements unless tests prove you need them. Best to eat healthy in first place rather than make up difference by popping pills. Don't forget to drink lots of water &amp; exercise regularly.

Maybe: Be sure that the instructions do not say do not chew or crush.  We gave our son his asthma medicine in apple sauce.

You also have to take your age, sex, overall health, diet, and pregnancy status into account.  Vitamin requirements vary from person to person.

Yes: You can overdose with any vitamin that has a letter other than b. We generally urinate out the excess b vitamins, but can seriously overdose with a, d, k, e and even d; minerals also can cause problems. Moderation is more appropriate.

Vitamins: A good multivitamin is a good idea.  It's like an insurance policy for when we don't eat right, don't sleep well, or are especially stressed.  Go to a good store or get some guidance because the popular brands are typically very week and not helpful.  You can take them as long as you wish.

Eat right: Best thing you can do is eat a a variety of mostly fruits and vegetables daily.  But vitamin e can be good for the skin as well.

Food &amp; Mood: There are many factors that impact mood and nutrition is certainly one.  Avoiding junk food, and sugar is a good start.  Eating protein, good fats, and some carbs w/main meals is another.  How is your exercise level?  Do you get enough sleep? If something is troubling you a clinical psychologist can be helpful.
