Possible: it is possible that there might be a component of what you are feeling that is related to vitamin D deficiency however the more likely etiology is irritation or degeneration of the joint at the ankle itself that has occurred over time

Depends: B6 has two forms, active and inactive. Pyridoxal 5 phosphate p5p is the active form. Inactive b6 competes with p5p at the receptor. Some people do not convert b6 to p5p very well, so by taking high doses of inactive b6 can actually cause a functional deficiency due to receptor competition. Always take active b6.

Could be: The relation between vitamin D levels and joint pains is not clear cut. It is good that your vitamin D level is now near normal. You may wish to continue taking 2000 units of vitamin D3 daily.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

if i stop taking vitamin d3, how long does it take to leave my system?

Vitamin D: Is fat soluble and takes approx. 3 mos to reach equilibrium with normal daily replacement, and the same length of time to be fully metabolized out of your system. However, you are constantly making vitamin d in your skin, and ingesting it in food, so there is no real accurate answer to your question.

hi. i would like to start trying for a baby soon. i want to start prenatals, but am using femolene adult at the moment, should i stop the femolene when i take prenatal vitamin?

There is no reason: to take "PreNatal" vitamins until you are pregnant!  My opinion only.

when should you stop taking prenatal vitamins?

Accepted Answer

Not for a while: Continue to take your prenatal vitamins until you are done breast feeding, which will hopefully be at least a year after you've given birth.  As long as you continue to take your prenatals, your baby will get a good dose of most vitamins directly from you.  The exception is vitamin d, which doesn't come out in the milk.  Supplement your baby with at least 400iu of vitamin d daily.

Few: Vitamin e thins the blood an you may have a slight increase in blood clotting, but  I am unaware of any signicificant problems with stopping vitamin e.

Keep taking them !: The Folic Acid in the multivitamins is know to decrease the incidence of spina bifida in newborns. The early spine forms in the first month before you have a chance to see a doctor, .

Accepted Answer

Just eat healthy: Male or female, there's little reason to think that taking glitzy supplements will help you become a parent. I trust you're eating a generally healthy diet, for your own sake. A woman planning to conceive does well to be sure she has enough Folic Acid and iron on board. What you can get in a cheap drugstore-chain vitamin-&-mineral tab is plenty. Good luck & stay proactive.

ive been taking atorvastatin and recently started to experience chills. i believe its due to the medication. what could be causing this in terms of vitamin mineral nutrition loss? if i stop the medication do the side effects just go away?

Accepted Answer

Possible: Atorvastatin &amp; other “statin”  drugs (usually taken to lower cholesterol) can commonly cause muscle pain (myalgia) which usually resolves when the medication is stopped, but chills are not often reported. If you have an actual fever (take temperature) or any respiratory, bowel or urinary symptoms, call  Dr, but if only “chills” you could try stopping Med for couple weeks to see if chills resolve
