When should you stop taking prenatal vitamins?

Not for a while: Continue to take your prenatal vitamins until you are done breast feeding, which will hopefully be at least a year after you've given birth. As long as you continue to take your prenatals, your baby will get a good dose of most vitamins directly from you. The exception is vitamin d, which doesn't come out in the milk. Supplement your baby with at least 400iu of vitamin d daily.

No rules: There is no benefit to you with the extra cost prenatal vitamins. Not sure why you would be taking them over any other brand of multi-vitamin.
