why is the vein that runs on top of my hand and wrist swelling if i leave my hand down?

Gravity: Veins bring blood back  to heart, but they don't  gave pulse like artery (arteries bring blood with oxygen  to all tissues in your body).  When putting hand down you get venous pooling due to gravity , making veins larger.  Movement, elevation of hand, and the muscle contraction all over your body helps bring the blood back to the heart. Amazing isn't it.

Have you been seen: Without seeing your xray hard to say but you should probably get seen by an orthopaedic surgeon.  Treatment will depend on how bad of a break: whether there is substantial displacement and thus need for a reduction (realignment of the broken bones) either closed or possibly surgery.

Trauma or not?: If your daughter is 14 or less and there has been trauma, then a fracture of the wrist is much more likely than a sprain. A follow-up x-ray can be helpful in seeing a fracture at times when the first x-ray is normal. In the absence of trauma, other diagnoses must be considered such as infection or an autoimmune condition.

There are a myriad: Of reasons one might have a swollen joint.  It is encouraging that it does not hurt, but a complete history and exam will be required to sort this out.

Possible ganglion: A small rounded mass on your wrist is most likely a ganglion cyst.  They commonly arise on the top (or dorsum) of the wrist in line with the 3rd or middle finger.  A ganglion is an outpockeing of the joint and filled with synovial fluid from your wrist.  The most effective treatment is surgical excision.  See your hand surgeon for evaluation.

missed crystal meth shot in wrist 2 days ago didn't know until i had done whole 50cc shot right after site swelled 2 golf ball size + severe pain 12 hours later whole wrist swollen 2 egg size. now whole arm swollen 2 grapefruit size excruciating pain?

Well hydrated : It sounds like high vascularity just meaning when you are well hydrated your veins expand out. Also some medications like vasodilators can cause this.

Possibly: You need to have a proper exam including blood tests,maybe xrays.   Family history is also a factor.

Don't worry: if it is not warm, tender or painful, it is probably of no concern . Are you sure it is a vein? Sometimes a ganglion cyst can push up from behind and make the vein more prominent. If it bothers you, you should have it examined but it is probably nothing to worry about.
