yes,  - some concern NSAID med like advil (ibuprofen) may result in higher levels of glipizide and lower blood sugar.  Do not think this is too likely to be a problem.
My main concern would be use of glipizide and other sulfonylureas which in long run increase heart attack risk by ~20%. Usually we have better options for diabetes patients - glad to discuss

Back pain? : What did you do. The ibuprofen is an anti inflammatory that will bring down the swelling. The Valium is used to relax. Get rid of the Valium. Now see your doctor and get a diagnosis and then a treatment plan

NO Valium: This is a sedative tranquilizer and muscle relaxant. Try stopping the codeine and ibuprofen. Take Aleve: 2 tab initially, then 1 tab every 6-8h. Valium has not place in therapy unless muscular spasm is involved.

went to er for lower back pain/muscle cramp or spam. prescribed with valium 5mg 3times/day and 800mg ibuprofen every 8h. how long until pain go away. ?

No idea: since I don't know what was causing the pain, or what the doctors who examined you found.  The best answers to your questions would come from the people who saw you, and you should be asking them.  If it is run-of-the-mill muscle spasm, it should be better within 24-48 hours, but there is no simple answer. Don't drive while on the Valium, and stay away from alcohol as well.

Family practice: You may take them together. It shouldn't  have any increase  in sedation than with valium alone.

i've had debilitating muscle spasms for the first time all week .doctors first prescribed a common muscle relaxer flexeril and 800mg motrin which have not helped . then prescribed valium which has not helped. what else will work ? thanks

What else will work: There's a principle in medicine that in order to treat something, you have to know what you're treating. In other words, you need a diagnosis. Your docs assumed one of the common diagnoses &amp; Rx'd accordingly. That hasn't worked. In order to know what WILL work, you need a more aggressive approach in order to arrive at a specific diagnosis. THEN you'll get something that may actually work.

i am on valium, neurontin, motrin, zantac, skelaxin, (metaxalone) and tramadol. what kinds of long-term affects should i be aware of with that combination?

Too many meds for: my liking. and more chance of side effects or other complications. The long term problems I would be concerned would be becoming addicted to one or more of these meds.. AT least 3 of them are known to be addictive.
Discuss it with your Doc and share your concerns with her/him.

i am taking 10 325 norco every 6 hours with 2 benedryl and 3 advil due to recent heart ablations i normally take 10mg of requip amd 10md of valium at night to sleep but i am out of valium so i am taking tamazapam instead of valium i am not sleeping but 4

Yes: The medicine in vicodin works on different pain receptors than ibuprofen.  In addition,  Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory where vicodin is not.
