is it normal for only one side of my uterus to bleed?

How can you tell?: A woman can't see her uterus. She can't "touch" it (except during pregnancy). No matter which part of the uterus bleeds, the blood drains down through a single hole in the cervix. That means there is no way to tell where in the uterus the blood is coming from. If there is very little blood on a tampon, the blood might stain only one side of the tampon.... But that would not be a sign of illness.

Nothing: If the fibroid is not enlarging so that the uterus or fibroid is felt above the umbilicus, if there is no bleeding or pain and if the individual fibroid  enlarges to suggest possible malignant changes to a sarcoma, then nothing should be done.

i took the plan b pill last tuesday. i'm now having really bad pains on the left side of my uterus. it's like normal cramps but on one side. is this a bad sign?

Possible: Without more information it is difficult to say if you should worry. First do a pregnancy test. If positive, see your GYN (or come see me, I am in Vegas). If your test is negative, then you should still see a doctor but it is less urgent than with a positive test. Cramps and bleeding is normal after plan B - but having them to one side could be a problem.

: Contact your OBGYN DOCTOR for exam. Don't try to treat your pain yourself, wait for the professional opinion.

Complicated: Your question is very complicated and your descriptions are not entirely clear.  I would ask your doctor to read your ultrasounds and let you know the findings.  If you had a yolk sac, that's a good sign.  If you have a didelphys uterus, then of course you already know there can be more complications with that.  Ask doctor for reading and clarification though.

Depends: It would be  very hard  to   tell in advance  what  would  happen.  Often  the  iud is  removed  and  some  pregnancies  will  miscarry  others  will  go to  term.    Certainly  it is possible to survive  but not  likely.

Reduce or remove: If there is a large fibroid diplacing  cervix to prevent contraception  a myomectomy may succeed in improving fertility. Other techniques to reduce impact of the fibroid is hyperthermia directed to the lesion as well as cryosurgery of the mass. Uterine artery embolectomy directing the closure of the vessel to    the fibroid can reduce its mass allowing the cervix to return to a normal position.

hi. i am 4 weeks pregnant and went for a scan today. doc saw two sacs on each side of my uterus. one on the left and one on the right. one sac measured 1.77cms already. is it possible i could be having twins?

US report ? Twins: In general, very early ultrasounds can be quite helpful to determine gestational dating.  Other aspects of an early ultrasound may be more difficult to determine, and this is why you may require another one in the later stages of the pregnancy. Please check with your doctor or nurse midwife for any specific questions regarding the results, and  for prenatal care, including prenatal vitamins.

i have mild lower back pain, painless pulse in low back lying down, pain in one leg, stabbing pains in both sides of uterus, and chest pains. i'm 22.

Pains of any type: Severe pain of any type indicates the need to see a MD for assessment.

my ct results shows that i have enlarged and lobulated retroverted uterus which may represents leiomyomatous uterus. what is that mean? and can this condition cause heavy hematuria and pressure like pain in one side of my abdomen during ovulation?

Not hematuria: Leiomyomas, also called fibroids, depending on location and size can cause excessive menstrual bleeding but not blood in urine. These may cause the other symptoms you mentioned.
