A member asked:

What should you do if you have a fibroid tumor pushing uterus to one side (so sperm can't find its way to the egg)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Reduce or remove: If there is a large fibroid diplacing cervix to prevent contraception a myomectomy may succeed in improving fertility. Other techniques to reduce impact of the fibroid is hyperthermia directed to the lesion as well as cryosurgery of the mass. Uterine artery embolectomy directing the closure of the vessel to the fibroid can reduce its mass allowing the cervix to return to a normal position.
