: Yes, diluted urine is prone to false negative result(s) because dipstick test reactivity is based on chemical reagents on the stick then if the LOW concentration of hemoglobin is made LOWER because of dilution, reaction (result) can be negative in case of mild hematuria. However, if microscopic exam is done then the presence of blood cells, i.e. hematuria, can be diagnosed. Take care.

: No, regular urine dipstick test or urinalysis does not measure phosphate. However, examination of urine sediment may detect high amount of crystals which contain phosphate such as calcium phosphate (one stone type). Hyperparathyroidism causes high PO4 in urine so this condition needs to be treated if present. Increased fluid intake, low salt and low animal protein diet is the mainstay of treatment

: Yes, if the urine concentration was different when test was done. For a patient with mild proteinuria (albuminuria is the correct term because dipstick test only detects albumin), if urine is diluted, e.g. specific gravity is less than 1.005, the dipstick test can be negative. The formal urinalysis method also uses the dipstick but the result is read by the machine, not your naked eyes. Take care.

: All laboratory/imaging results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, depending on the type of bilirubin, a small amount is a normal finding.     Wish you good health!

Urine dipstick: The urine dipstick has squares which 'turn color' when certain chemicals in the urine are present in various amounts (graded 0-->4+). It can show:  state of hydration (spec. Grav.), kidney disease (protein), diabetes (sugar/ketones) , stone/tumor (blood), liver disease (bilirubin), infection (white cells/nitrite). 
A complete urinalysis includes dipstick and microscopic exam.

Interpretation: A physician (P) ordered both the urine analysis and the urine culture. As I do not know the results, you need to ask the P who ordered the tests what the results were and how they will affect you. Good luck.

Proteinuria: The first thing is to have  your physician send off a 24 hour urine collection to quantify the amount of protein in your urine/day and to assess your kidney function. Depending on the amount of the proteinuria, i would send off blood for aso, anca 2, complement C3 and c4, hiv, hepatitis b antibodies, hb a1c and ana. A renal biopsy may be needed, if your proteinuria is &gt; 1 gram/day. Good luck.

Here are some...: One thing for sure is you, most likely, okay since you have been free of urinary / genital symptoms. Clinically, what you observed and described could represent the presence of amorphous crystals in alkaline urine which refects what you consumed or the possibility of contamination in urine collection. So, live on as the first choice or seek evaluation/counseling as suggested if insisting or obsess

Blood in urine: Despite the normal urinalysis, the presence of visible blood in the urine warrants a thorough evaluation of your urinary tract.  You could easily be passing a stone but a more serious problem needs to be excluded.  See a urogist!
