i broke my ulna and radius. my wrist is now misaligned. what can i do?

See your physician.: If your wrist is noticeably misaligned, you may require an evaluation with a hand surgeon. X-rays of both wrists may be helpful; x-rays of the uninjured side can provide a template to assess the injured side. Occasionally, surgery may be necessary to re-align your wrist.

i've removed kwires from my healed ulna and radius fracture and i would like to know when will i get full motion of wrist and when will it be stronger?

Depends: It depends on how hard you rehab and the typ of fracture.

hx of approx 30 fractures l arm/wrist, lately a lot of pain n fluid in wrist where radius/ulna meet metacarpals. is n ultrasound needed any radiation?

What about MRI?: Ultrasound does not use radiation, and can be used to look for fluid or evaluate soft tissues, but it is not good for looking at the bones themselves.

Consider MRI to look for fluid, at the soft tissues, and inside the bones at the bone marrow.

are there any long term effects on wrist or hand of surgically fixed (plates and screws) proximal fractures in both ulna and radius of same forearm?

Possibly: The long term effects are related more to the fracture itself, rather than the paltes and scews. In normal wrist motion the radius bone rotates around the ulna bone, so a fracture tio either bone can cause a deformity which can limit this rotation.

Wrist pain post op : You should be thoroughly evaluated by an upper extremity surgeon . Your wrist pain can be secondary to several causes.

i broke my ulna and radius. will this affect my ability to use my hand?

It certainly may: The break (fracture) extends into a joint itself in an adult.  In such cases it may be very important to restore the joint by surgery.
In children it is not rare that both forearm bones are broken like a green stick snapping (we call these "greenstick" fractures); usually treated well in a cast, often including the elbow.
In adults, "both bone" forearm fractures usually require surgery to fix.

i just hand an orif on my forearm(broke my radius n ulna) 3 weeks later my thumb n forefinger are numb with a tingling feeling. is it normal?

No: Notify your surgeon right away. Concern will be compartment syndrome.

i have gone wrist (plate on radius) and humorus (rode implant) fracture surgery, now going through pt for gaining supination-pronation. i'm getting swelling around ulna with sharp pain, please suggest.... how long it would take to get in normal motion for

May not get all moti: You may not obtain all of your motion back
but if you are getting sharp pain you should
see your surgeon
you may have a problem related to the fracture or the fixation of the fracture ie.
Plate/ screws
you need to get checked out and most likely continue your pt.

if i snapped my radius and ulna in half basically, how long until i can lift weights again? i have 2 plates and 12 screws.

That's a question: for your ortho. It depends on how stable he feels it is as well as if is healed &amp; how long since the fracture. Once healed, he will be the one who gives you the ok.  Plates can remain in if asymptomatic. Also there are metal ions leaching from the plate &amp; screws. Also depends on age of the patient.

2 - 3 months: Usually it takes 6-8 weeks for fractures to heal. Then you will need some time to rehab and restore strength and rom. Your surgeon can give you the best estimate.
