does using ibuprofen cause a bout of diverticulites or bad for use with patients that have had diverticulites? ive heard that you should only use tylenol if youve ever had diverticulites but that doesnt help my arthritis pain. thanks?

: Ibuprofen does not cause diverticulitis but should not be used to treat diverticulitis. Once you no longer have active diverticular inflammation, you may take ibuprofen for pain.

i take humira 40 mg norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) 10 325mg . i lost my pain medication and now i'm in major pain and running a feve?

Pain fever humira (adalimumab): Seek help right away - first call your prescribing doc.  Get evaluated for fever.  Discuss pain too.  Narcotic prescribing is tightly regulated and losing Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) is troublesome. You should not go to a different doctor.

Tylenol+NSAID: Is pretty much the only safe over the counter medication that can be used with meloxicam. Chronic use of nsaids or Acetaminophen alone or in combination can lead to untoward side effects. Consider using topical over the counter medications if this is an option. Taking another NSAID such as otc Ibuprofen along with Meloxicam is not ecommended.

Mixed modalities.: Take 3-omega fatty acids as fish or flaxseed oil (my preference!).  You should take enough  to take 1500-2000mg per day. Regular flaxseed oil is less expensive and has more omega-3, which is antiinflammtory! take adequate vitamin d3, at least 2000/day with calcium. Gentle atraumatic exercises like yoga, cardio-dancing, pilates helps.  Take ibuprophen or naproxen. These will help, but not remit!

Glucosamine: You can take supplements such as combination of glucosamine and chondroitin.  Additionally, you can also take painkillers such as advil or tylenol (acetaminophen) or aleve.

can i take a half of a acetaminophen-codeine # 300-30 and a 500 mg tylenol tab before going to bed i broke my arm and have reduced my pain medication to  one half tab morning and night.

Accepted Answer

Taking : Taking too much tylenol could be dangerous.  That amount you listed is reasonable, but any more then that could be dangerous to your liver.  You can take advil (ibuprofen) instead of the tylenol and it is safe with acetaminophen/codeine.

I don t think: There is no dierect correlatiomn on what that medicattin does and the pains of arthritis . Don t forget that the placebo effect can be as high as 30 per cent.

took drug test doctor called and said it came up positive told them i take tylenol 600mg & arthritis pills that r 650mg and if it would show up on test cause they said mine was 1400 and said was positive for meth i asked how much was drug from pills?

: Not sure what your question is, but drug tests are very specific and there are no meth components in Tylenol.

i have a persistent/daily migraine, displaced from an exposed root canal on one of my teeth. i also have a stomach ulcer and dont know what pain medication to take without upsetting the ulcer. gp advised me, no brufen, no tylenol. what can i take?

Ulcer: From a study from the American Journal of Epidemiology the use of NSAID (Ibupofen) and aspirin were associated with increased risk of recurrent bleeding ulcers in a population of patients, but not acetaminophen.  Given your tooth pain acetaminophen reasonable to take for pain. Given tooth pain topical benzocaine or benadryl can help relieve tooth pain and lessen need for oral agent.
