This can lead to symptoms like: small head, cleft lip, cleft palate, additional fingers/ toes, abnormalities of limbs, low intelligence, hernias, etc.

Losing weight: It would helpful to know your height and weight prior to beginning a weight loss program. It might not be possible to become" very slim" due to your genetics. I would simply recommend avoiding foods high in fat and simple carbohydrates ( starch, sugar) and start exercising 3 times a week. You should be able to lose 4-6 lbs. A month.
