Not very: A chalazion is the cystic product of a stye which the body has surrounded with a wall.  Tobrex (tobramycin) will not penetrate.  You can try heat but if the lesion is obvious, large or bothersome , see your ophthalmologist for correction.

Tobradex/ chalazions: Chalazions while not an inflection, are an inflammation, which the Dexamethasone in tobradex (tobramycin and dexamethasone) is a help. The tobramycin in tobradex (tobramycin and dexamethasone), prevents secondary infection in the area of the chalazion
concern is prolonged use, may cause a temprary elevation of the eye pressure (glaucoma) in some individuals....Use as directed.

Possibly useful: I commonly use tobradex (tobramycin and dexamethasone) and find it is a useful part of the treatment.  The gold standard for treatment though is warm compresses to the chalazion 15 minutes per day 4 times per day.  Tobradex (tobramycin and dexamethasone) can help, but it is best in combination with warm compresses.  Usually the combination is 75% successful.

But in a few cases, the body almost wins but protects itself by sealing off the infection with a wall which is a cystic structure called a chalazion.  These are benign, can last along time and can be removed if too big.

Warm compresses/surg: Try warm compresses and and wait, sometimes small chalazion will disappear on its own, but if it is large and pressing on the eyelid you or it has not cleared by itself than you need surgery to remove it.

1-2 weeks: With conservative care, a chalazion will take 1-2 weeks to resolve--this includes warm soaks 4 times a day.  If it does not resolve in that time frame, you will need to see an eye specialist for possible drainage.
