2 days ago i had colonoscopy. since then i have mild pain in my abdomen. by internet i found that it is trapped gas. will it b ok or shld i go 2 doc.

Colonoscopy: It is not unusual to have mild "gas pains" for a few days after a colonoscopy. Unless the pain worsens, or you develop other symptoms such as fever, chills, or blood in your stool, you should be fine. Contact your gastroenterologist if any of the of the above occur, however. i have a change in bowel habits with increased gassiness flatulence, but no other overt symptoms. i had a colonoscopy in 2020..no cancer only diverticul. should i be screened for possible colon cancer with these symptoms if no cancer was seen in 2020?

: Has there been a change in your diet. Do you have regular bowel movements.  I would, however, make an appointment with a Urologist.  I don’t think another colonoscopy is necessary.  Explain to Urologist your concerns.

COLONOSCOPY.: You can have abdominal distension and bloated feeling for a few a days after colonoscopy.The air should not travel to neck unless is cases of extreme emergency called  colonic perforation.

Colonoscopy problem?: Air used to inflate your colon may persist for several hours--not typically for 5 days. Your post-procedure symptoms may be due to colonoscopy-related factors: colonic or organ mechanical trauma, post-polypectomy syndrome, abdominal wall bruising from external pressure, etc.; diverticular disease; extra-intestinal problems; ibs; lots more. First step--call asap your colonoscopist ; ask his advice.

Check with doc: The symptoms you describe are common right after a colonoscopy (from air that is used to inflate your colon), but they shouldn't last for days. i had an unsussesful colonoscopy last week. they couldn't complete due to pain from the gas/air pumped in. how common is this? what's the alternative.

Colonoscopy: incomplete colonoscopy can occur up to 5 to 10% of the time. Whether a repeat attempt would be successful mostly depends on why it was unsuccessful in the first place. You should talk to your G.I. doc about whether a repeat attempt with better sedation or a better prep would be useful. If not, a "virtual" colonoscopy might be the next step. Good luck.

Normal vs. Healthy:: Normal means common, zero reliable relationship with healthy &amp; defined by medical industry as average to include the central 96% of common for any variable. What you describe is neither healthy nor common in most cases after colonoscopy. But it all depends on your anatomy/function before exam, what was done during exam &amp; your responses afterwards. Sounds like intestinal distension; yet not moving.
