had emg of left arm and right leg yesterday, showed no abnormalities.i been twitching for 4 years. would emg have shown anything if i had bulbar als. the twitch is on the tip of tongue and happens after flexed or touched.blood work, thyroid normal. ?

Not bulbar ALS: If you had bulbar ALS, it would be obvious after 4 years. Many folks have these benign fasciculations. The best way I know to stop being preoccupied with trivial non-symptoms is to embrace high-level wellness. You're 28, young enough to be an Olympic champion. Really push your body in your favorite sport and resistance / aerobic training, eat like an athlete, and have a body you truly ENJOY.

Many Possibilities: They could be swollen taste buds, blisters, cancer, trauma from biting your tongue, cysts ... The point being there are many possibilities.  The only real answer will come when you visit your dentist and get them examined.

Babies' tongues: Babies are developing the muscles they use for everything so sometimes they lack good control of the tongue muscle and it will hang out after feeding.

Tongue and mouth: movements can be a side-effect of medication, especially psychotropic medicine. Please have this person see her doc.  If not that, there are other possible reasons.  Peace and good health.

Tongue: You should see a dentist or oral surgeon to have this red patch checked.  This is something that needs to be seen and can't be answered in this forum.  There are many possibilities as to what it could be.  Even though you don't have pain it could be serious so get this checked asap.

i have a small kind of white thing on the bottom of my tongue its only one its like the size of a grain of rice it comes to almost a point?

when i stick my tongue out i can see my epiglottis a little bit. i never noticed it before im breathing fine and all but i just was concerned about because i heard its difficult to see it. should i be concerned ?
