Can't say: With such a vague description no reasoned label can be applied. Chickenpox spots start as small bumps that enlarge into blisters which break &amp; dry over a day. Kids who have it rarely have any vomiting, which is more common with gut viruses. You are welcome to provide more detailed information in a new post but may just need to contact the kids doc for guidance.

: I would advise seeing Pediatric urgent care or your physician right away. The fever usually represents an infection and the rash may ea viral or bacterial rash.  The latter requires antibiotic therapy. From your description, MRSA should be considered. Watch for prolonged fever, swelling of joints and extremities and red eyes. A virtual consultation with HT is available.

Ibuprofen : If it has only been a couple of days i would just give him Ibuprofen because he probably just has the flu. However, if he has any new symptoms or gets worse or it does not  start to get better in 5 days, go to the doctor.

Fever: You didn't mention your daughter's age but a viral infection is likely.  If she is preschool aged or younger she could have roseala- a rash appears several days after fever. Have her seen by  her doctor if the fever persists, if she develops redness or peeling skin of the hands/feet, red eyes or cracked lips

Not likely: Fever is not generally a result of emotional states of any kind.  Fever and chills usually indicate an infection, and sometimes are a signal of lymphoma or other cancers.  See a doctor, tell him/her about the fever and chills, and get an evaluation.
