I would advise seeing Pediatric urgent care or your physician right away. The fever usually represents an infection and the rash may ea viral or bacterial rash. The latter requires antibiotic therapy. From your description, MRSA should be considered. Watch for prolonged fever, swelling of joints and extremities and red eyes.
