why do i have a small purple bruise under my left breast? its kinda like a bruise, it has purple veins but doesnt hurt at all & has been there for a couple months? looks more like broken blood vessels. i havent taken any nsaids in over a year.

Purple bruise : A few things I have picked up over the years is to correlate the things a patient says with an examination, especially when there are so many possible perspectives of a patient's description. This can be several things, here are a few : blood vessel problem or blood problem. We can relate these to many many conditions.

No , just watch if .: Watch if it changes. There is no significance to an enlarged vein unless there is a nearby growth or tumor. Just look around for anything obvious. I doubt if you will find anything as its cause, unless you develop any new symptoms in the future in which case a physical examination should be done with a physician.

Normal finding: I am amazed about how often I have women ask me about the veins on their breast.  Occasionally they are spider veins but mostly they are blue veins.  These are almost always normal findings and normal variations of chest veins.  They tend to be more pronounced in fair skinned females and they may be related to hereditary factors or even pregnancies.  No treatment is necessary unless for cosmetics.

Telangiectasia : What you describe is either telangiectasia  or spider angioma. These are just dilated vessel in the skin and are just mild cosmetic nuisance. Telangiectasias are cause by sun damage or aging , spider angioma are cause by hormones or aging. Both are common on the chest . If they bother you or for additional information see a doctor.

Blood vessels: Thin skin under the eye can allow superficial blood vessels to become visible.  This is anatomic -- just part of the way your body is made.

The color of veins: If you are overweight this could be the early signs of stretch marks. If these are just veins and you  have not noticed them before then I am at a loss as to what to say.  If you have pain, redness or swelling you may wan to see a physician.

im a 22y.old girl and recently i can see some tiny purple veins on my palms . they dont hurt they are just visible, should i be worried about them?

Don't worry: It is normal to see some veins in the palm of the hand.  They are more visible, however, if you're hands are very slender or if you are very pale, so there is more contrast. Veins are also more visible when you are well hydrated and warm or when your hands are held down below your elbows, which makes the veins dilate slightly.

after ovulation- is it normal to have tender/sore breasts every day for 10 days and not let up? also noticed purple tiny veins on one side yesturday.

Usual pattern: If this does not happen to you every month then we can not say it is normal. Your past history is the best indicator. If you are concerned then schedule a visit for an examination.

Red dot PROBLEM: If the red dots do not blanch (/turn pale or temporarily vanish) when you push on them, you need rechecked by a Dr ASAP, as could be indication of bleeding problem. Need more history &amp; exam + new lab tests to determine issue.

Vein under tongue: They are just that-veins! sometimes they may become darker if the flow of blood is dimished-like vericose veins in the legs.
