Several Poss. Causes: Thorough history &amp; osteopathic exam would be really helpful.Generally, it could be any of the following, but without knowing more it's hard to tell: muscle injury, deltoid bursitis, rotator cuff or glenoid labral (cartilage injury), tendonitis; axillary, radial, or musculocutaneous nerve injuries, not to mention the often misdiagnosed cervical nerve injury. Even a rib 'out of place' can mimic this

for several nights i woke up with numbness in my left hand.  the numbness in my fingers goes away during the day, but i have feeling of numbness/tightness in my upper left arm and overall weakness in my left arm to my hand. what could it be? stroke?

Pinched nerve: It sounds more, based on pattern, as a compressed nerve. It can be at the cervical spine level, shoulder or even carpal tunnel which would be wrist. Starting with an exam with your doc should help and determining the cause of your symptoms. Stroke does not appear likely at this point.

have had tight feeling in my upper left arm & shoulder plus sometimes feels like my throat is tight or has a lump or my glands are swollen?

Are you ok Now?: If the symptoms lasts for more than 30 minutes and if you have any risk factors for Heart attack( Personal or Family history of MI before age 60, High Cholestrerol.,High BP, Diabetes are the main ones then yo should be in ED. Take Aspirin and chew it.
 If none of above then may be Anxiety- Panic attack or Allergy or Reflux  But these are not emergency

had flu shot day before yesterday. today upper arm (both front & back) & shoulder feel achy/tight/sore. normal? how long for discomfort to go away?

my arm feels week when lifting up while the elbow is away from the body. also, the shoulder feels tight when lifting the upper arm parallel to the ground and elbow up.  is it shoulder injury? how to prevent further injury when doing judo/wrestling?

Rotator cuff disorder.

Physiotherapy is a good option with anti inflammatory
