Several Poss. Causes: Thorough history & osteopathic exam would be really helpful.Generally, it could be any of the following, but without knowing more it's hard to tell: muscle injury, deltoid bursitis, rotator cuff or glenoid labral (cartilage injury), tendonitis; axillary, radial, or musculocutaneous nerve injuries, not to mention the often misdiagnosed cervical nerve injury. Even a rib 'out of place' can mimic this
