Biceps : Biceps tendinitis, may have symptoms of burning pain at the front   of the shoulder, tightness i the biceps muscle ( depending upon forearm rotation and elbow position)

there are several causes and associated problems but overhead activity usually exacerbates this.

If symptoms persist talk to your pcp regarding an evaluation and anti inflammatories or see an orthopedic surgeon.

Shoulder origin: These pains may be referred from a tendonitis of the shoulder or may indicate a pinched nerve in the neck or shoulder area. The jabbing,sharp nature of the discomfort suggests nerve pain,however. An orthopedic specialist is well qualified to evaluate and recommend any appropriate tests and treatment.

Strain: Tendon is white tissue (poor blood supply) so when it is injured via strain or tear, the healing is slow. Biceps connect the arm on either side of the elbow so pains are around the elbow but may go up to the shoulder or below the elbow crease. Common injury is via overuse of flexing the elbow, especially if heavy weight is used (overload), holding a flexed position (adding prolonged tension).
