Unlikely: The symptoms of Hashimoto's thyroiditis are those of gradual failure of the thyroid gland and clinical hypothyroidism. I don't know what "inhomogenous" means. What did the history, physical exam of the thyroid, serum TSH, and serology reveal? A sub-cm nodule is only biopsied if there are concerning radiographic qualities. Was scintigraphy or ultrasound done?

can an overactive thyroid cause numbness and tingling in the body? can it make you feel off balance when you get up. and can propranolol prevent a thyroid storm. ? i am very anxious?

: The answers are probably yes, but best to see the PCP or Endocrinologist for appropriate Detailed History, Physical, Labs and Imaging if indicated. The sooner the better as that will allay the anxiety.

Tetany: Hypocalcemia can lead to tetany/cardiac arrythemia and death. If you've had a recent total thyroidectomy and you are experiencing tingling lips/finger tips/twitching of muscles - get to the er asap. You can drink some calcium fortified orange juice and take some Tums (calcium carbonate) as well... But get seen asap.

i have very overactive thyroid. just wondering can it cause muffled hearing. im very very anxious and scared everyday. also can it cause syncope? i get this aswell sometimes. and tingling. have started carbimazole 40mg?

Contributes: Hypothyroidism is a predisposing factor to developing nerve compression syndromes of the upper extremity rarely the sole cause. The distribution of the tingling you describe is in the ulnar nerve distribution. You should seek care with a neurologist and/or hand surgeon, particularly if you are having any motor weakness.

Keep an eye on it: It may be transient especially if it is around your cycle time. Also if you feel a lump or if pain does not go away then get t looked at. Consider mammo and us to eval.

i have annoying tingling in my feet. my last thyroid tsh was 11. would this cause it? it seems to be worse with hot water and hot weather though...

Numbness : Check with your physician, there could be multiple possibilities, from diabetes, vitamin deficiencies, autoimmune considerations, spinal cord demyelinating disorder vs multiple sclerosis or syringomyelia (rare spinal condition). Yes, thyroid could also contribute to the symptoms. Hope you feel well soon.

i've been having panic attacks. i always feel slight chest pain , tingling in arms or legs. like i'm going to faint or be sick. could it be thyroid ?

Get Blood Work: The first question is,whether or not you are being treated for your panic attacks.  If,so, your meds may need adjusting.  Thyroid problems can present with symptoms that feel psychological, usually closer to depression.  However, your Doc can easily do a blood work up to check this out.  You can take both of these steps at the same time.
