NOTHING: It's as normal finding. I don't know why anyone would have drawn it in the first place. Talk w/your doctor.

OK: Thyroglobulin level is only useful if you are monitoring for thyroid cancer recurrent or just prior to surgery to evaluate the baseline tissue burden. If you still have a thyroid gland and no nodules or suspicion for cancer, I don't see the reason to check thyroglobulin. Thyroglobulin antibodies are antibodies to the thyroglobulin. This number is supposed to be negative &lt;1.8.

Autoimmune: It means you have hashimoto's thyroid disease. An autoimmune thyroid disease where the body attacks itself, in this case, the thyroid gland. This is the most common reason why people have hypothyroid (low production) in the us. Make sure you see your doctor to get the thyroid level check.

Depends: High thyroglobulin can be a sign of inflammation of the thyroid or it could be normal.  If you have had thyroid cancer and had your thyroid removed then thyroglobulin is used to look for recurrence.

Have thyroid tissue: Thyroglobulin is made in thyroid tissue.
It is useful only in patients who have had a total thyroidectomy with or without a mop-up dose of 131i for thyroid cancer. If thyroglobulin levels are still present it means there is thyroid tissue left (normal or cancerous).  No thyroglobulin afterward that means a good job by the surgeon/nuclear technologist. If negative and then positive=recurrence.

Depends: Thyroglobulin is the protein used to make thyroid hormone. It is a normal component of the thyroid and, in someone healthy, checking thyroglobulin level does no add information. In someone who underwent thyroidectomy, the level should be very low if the surgery removed the whole gland. The antibodies are used as marker of autoimmune thyroid disease.

Seems normal.: Having trouble understanding the question.  Seems like you have a normal benign thyroid. Thyroglobulin abs are present in about 10% of the population.
