Wrist pain post op : You should be thoroughly evaluated by an upper extremity surgeon . Your wrist pain can be secondary to several causes.

Get imaging : Need to see a physiatrist or orthopedic specialist and get imaging, start with xray , if negative MRI. May need with contrast depending on exam finding

Could be dangerous: as it sounds like you may have an inflamed vein or even a blood clot.  You could try warm compresses for 10-15 minutes every hour or so to see if it goes down.  If it does not, or if a red streak goes up your arm or the bulging gets larger or more painful, get to a doctor.

Wrist pain: Paint in your wrist that worsens at night would be suspicious for carpal tunnel.  Wrist pain can be related to tendintis, arthritis or some bone abnormality too.

Wrist Pain: Good idea to immobilize your wrist with a splint. Take some ibuprofen, put some ice on it 10 minutes out of every hour while awake. Go see your doc if not doing better in the morning.

8 weeks ago i had iv in rt. hand. also drew blood from inside of rt. arm.  a few days later i had swelling and pain inside elbow area and down forearm.  still have pain in wrist and vein in my forearm is hard and tender. will this go away and when?

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. Eight weeks is too long for any after effects from blood draw and it would be prudent to see your doctor or contact the clinic where blood was drawn.

Injury: The most likely cause is repetitive trauma to muscle and fascia of your forearm. What physical activity have you been doing in the days as the problem started? This may be your easiest clue.
