Ankle injury: You should see a podiatrist or orthopedic surgeon, have xrays and get evaluated to see what is actually going on and how to recover from it.

More info: It would be helpful to know what side of the ankle the pain is.

If it is on the inside, then you may have injury to the nerve, or compression of the nerve to the ankle and foot.

Ankle pain : More information is needed in order to adequately address this problem, such as when does it hurt? At rest? During activities? Specifically where does it hurt? Inside or outside of ankle? Back of ankle? Any previous injury to foot or ankle? Etc. in other words, too many possible things this could be without more information. If the pain does not resolve over time, please see a physician. Good luck

For starters take --: Some pain meds, rest the foot, icing/heat pads might be helpful as well.
Seeing your gp would be helpful to get evaluated/investigated/treated or onward referral to a podiatrist/foot ; ankle doc. A lot depends on whether the pain is on the top or bottom of the foot and on being examined.

? Right SI Joint: Sometime the sciatic nerve may be irritated or pinched beyond the discs in ls spine. It could be right si joint arthritis. X rays of si joint and ncv/emg would help if not already done.

Treatment needed: When tendons are overworked they become inflamed.  The throbbing is an indication of such inflammation.  When tendons are inflamed they can be vulnerable to rupture, which is a significant injury that would  require surgery.  This definitely needs to be rested and immobilized until healed.   It would probably be a good idea to have it looked at.

Varies: There a number of potential causes, I would not hesitate to be seen.  Potential causes could include an inflammatory condition such as a tendonitis, bone injury such as an early stress fracture, or a subtl malalignment syndrome.  Don't hesitate to be seen.

Yes: It is not that unusual for a broken ankle to develop arthritis years after the injury. This can be quite significant depending on the nature of the break and how it was treated.  There are several ways to manage this. If pain from joint is bad, a shot may help, p.T. And some type of ankle and/or foot brace/support/orthotic can also be helpful. Of course the type of shoes you wear also are a factor.

Definitely: You must get accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment from an orthopedic specialist in order to avoid a lifetime of chronic ankle pathology.

Difficult to say: You are young and one would suspect that arthritis is not a factor in your case, which could explain pain that increases with usage.  Did you have any injury recently or in the past?  Any prior surgeries?  Are you an athlete or otherwise very active?  Is there swelling?  As you can see, there are many other questions of value here.  Following with a doctor can shed some light on your situation!
