See your eyemd if basic cold compresses do not help.

Eye irritation: Has many possible causes.  Initially, you can try using over the counter artificial tears or allergy drops on a regular basis.  If this doesn't help, then you should contact your eye doctor to make sure nothing more significant is taking place.

SINUSITIS?: Did you recently have sinusitis, runny nose, sore throat, earache, cold, flu etc?

Need to be examined by an ENT doctor to rule out maxillary sinusitis.

Any possibility of  bug bite like spider?

Possibly a sty: A picture is worth a 1000 words, as the cliche goes. Pain in the eyelid often arises from an acute blockage of one of the oil glands (zeis or meibum) creating exquisite tenderness, redness &amp; swelling. Sometimes you can see a pustule on the eyelid margin. Moderately hot compresses for 10', 2-3 times/day followed by gentle massage may help to decompress the sty. I hope this helps.
