Stimulants: Since both are stimulants (and similar in their effects and side effects), their side effect profiles can be additive. Thus, combining them could leave you feeling shaky, insomnia, increased heart rate and blood pressure.  If you have less than 100 mg of caffeine, you probably won't notice much effect, but get higher than that in combination with the vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) and you could feel these effects.

Only you can tell. : Caffeine is a stimulant. Unlike stimulant medications, it does not specifically target receptors in areas  of the brain that inhibit  behavior &amp; sustain attention to  salient information or tasks.The maximum adult dose of Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) is 70 mg./day. Caffeine is not contra-indicated, but some patients report that taking both causes them to have increased anxiety, agitation, irritability &amp;/or insomnia.

Not at all: But combining the two could make for worsened anxiety.  Plus I notice Wellbutrin (bupropion) which is an snri (selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor) - which is noradrenaline and thus is capable of literally fueling anxiety. Lexapro for anxiety(ssri) is excellent for anxiety. I realize Wellbutrin (bupropion) is used adjunctively for ADHD but it's a watergun compared to vyvanse. Ask ur doc about streamlining meds :)

my 14 yr old son who is takes 40 mg of vyvanse & 20 mg of lexapro a day, wants to take a gnc product for weightlifting and the the product if called muscle tech anabolic halo hardcore proseries (post workout) and contains some creatine, caffeine, phenylal

It : It would be very dangerous and potentially harmful to take this product with his medications. I would strongly advise against it.  The creatine, cafffeine, phenylalanin and his vyvanse and Lexapro (escitalopram) are not a safe combination and could affect his health.

Adderall, (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) the active: ingredient in Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine), (lisdexamfetamine) is ~1/3 of the Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) dose. You took the equivalent of a little &gt; 40 mg. of Adderall, the FDA's recommended maximum adult daily dose for ADHD. The recommended maximum adult daily dose of Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) is 70 mg. though some patients who metabolize it rapidly need more. Monitor your blood pressure &amp; pulse monthly while on Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine). Use a weekly pill organizer to avoid recurrence.

i was started on add medications about 2 years ago. i was given vyvanse for daily use and a generic adderall for as needed studying. my memory is extremely concerning now as even simple short term tasks i forget, while i'm speaking i can't find words, and just opening my computer or phone i forget what application i was going to use. is there a connection between my memory and the medications and is there something else i can do to help myself?

It might.: Stimulants do not worsen memory, with the exception,some studies suggest, in people without ADHD.
Depression,anxiety and many medications can impair memory.Lack of adequate sleep and food intake can worsen memory as well.
A consultation to rule out the coexistence of other conditions is advisable

hello, wondering if there is a solution to eliminating acne while taking vyvanse? medication or topical cream that has helped? i dont want to stop taking the only add pill that has worked, but i also have cystic acne from this medication?

:  The association of Lisdexamfetamine (Vyvanse) with acneiform eruption has not been reported let alone cystic acne.  As any other drugs, nonspecific rash can occur while on the same medication.  Consider consulting a dermatologist for proper management of cystic acne.

Gentle concern: Depends on the person of course, as no one approach suits all.  I finds it helps to sit down, speak calmly, avoid getting loud, use "I" and not "you" statements, listen, avoid shaming, and try to show you are their advocate.  Humility, not nobility.  Leave dogmatism to the arrogant.  Don't fear failing to convince them, and stay focused on simply caring for them.
