Internal eye: There is no relationship between systemic blood pressure and the pressure in the eyes.  If your eye pressure is elevated, someone must have measured it.  If you are at risk, then medication will have been started.  The causes are all internal, mostly unknown but sometimes related to other eye diseases, and aspects of the anatomy of the eye.

Medication effects: Sometimes medicated eye drops are absorbed into the blood stream and can exert effects on other organ systems.  In certain patients beta blocker drugs may cause heart vessel or lung 'tubes' spasm or slowing of the heart rate, which in turn may cause chest discomfort.

With it: Ocular myasthenia gravis, if that is all he has, is a local condition that is unpleasant but not life threatening.  As long as the mg stays local and does not affect other parts of the body, he is no in long term danger.  A neuroophthalmologist can help with the care of this condition.

Possible cause: It sounds like that you have seen an eye doctor who used the term "ocular surface disease" to account for your symptoms of variable vision. However, the perceived brightness of colors would not be a likely symptom of surface disease such as dry eye, and should be immediately improved to some extent by the use of artificial tears. I would be more concerned with retinal or optic nerve conditions.
