A member asked:

Ocular surface disease not letting me see good quality colors seem so dull and dark one day and then a couple days later everything seems so bright y?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possible cause: It sounds like that you have seen an eye doctor who used the term "ocular surface disease" to account for your symptoms of variable vision. However, the perceived brightness of colors would not be a likely symptom of surface disease such as dry eye, and should be immediately improved to some extent by the use of artificial tears. I would be more concerned with retinal or optic nerve conditions.
