They are not: In very extreme and rare cases that children's vomit during teething.
They might have a slight fever and pain in the gums from the teeth bushing out

Not safe: Hylands homeopathic drops have been recalled in the past for risk of toxic side effects from one of the ingredients, belladonna. The concentration of belladonna was found to vary between preparations. I would stick with nasal saline drops for relief of cold symptoms. For teething, i would recommend massaging your baby's gums and using a teething toy like sophie the giraffe.

It doesn't matter: It doesn't matter if it can be. What is important is what's causing both symptoms? She should be seen by at least a dentist (and possibly a physician if the dentist thinks that appropriate). There is no way to observe, diagnose and guess as to what's actually going on. Sorry.

Use motrin: As a dentist and parent, i would use Motrin before tylenol (acetaminophen).  The side effects of Acetaminophen are becoming more well understood, especially the effects on the liver, and Motrin will also help with the inflammation induced by teething better than tylenol (acetaminophen).

Grinding teeth: Children many times will begin to grind their teeth as their eruption patterns change.  They have many primary/baby teeth that are becoming loose and coming out and new permanent teeth erupting and their bite or occlusion changes all the time.  They tend to grind during this ever changing occlusion.

Pediatric Dentist: A pedodontist is a dentist who specializes in treating children. Since the extent of the decay is unknown, treatment can range from simple fillings to extractions if the teeth are hopeless. Best bet is to make an appointment for the child to be examined.

Baby molars: Baby molars, the 4th ; 5th teeth are replaced by permanent premolars.  Timing of exchange very important.  Permanent molars, teeth #6, 7, 8 do not have replacements.  Please see your dentist.  Consultation with orthodontist may be in order.

Regular: Brushing and flossing. I recommend flossing first then brushing for five minutes once in a 24 hr period to be sure you get all the bacteria off the cheek side, tongue side, tops, gums & behind the last teeth. My patients who follow this routine do not get decay or gum disease. Don't forget regular check ups with your dentist.

Current research: indicates that it is due to poor airway. The child needs to be evaluated by a dentist versed in treating sleep apnea, sleep disordered breathing and by a MD to order a sleep study if possible.
