Clenching is likely: Chances are you are horribly hungry and need to find something to chew besides your tongue or you have a teeth clenching issue. This is typically accomplished in your subconscious while you sleep and you pull suction in your mouth and squeeze your teeth together. The tongue gets that pie-crust appearance on the sides. This is all simply speculation so have a qualified dentist diagnose for sure.

: Lines are most likely microfractures in the enamel. They could be decalcifications, but your dentist should have caught that during the examination.

You indicate crooked lower teeth and a narrow dental arch.  These are all resolvable problems. Kenalog (triamcinolone) orabase is a synthetic corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic action. Temporarily will help with traumatic inflammation like yours. If you think you are hypersensitive to it's components stop using it. Not for fungal, viral or bacterial infections.
