Vitamins do not prov: Vitamins are body's catalyst systems. As such they do not provide energy. If you eat healthy foods(green veggies and fruits daily), low fat dairy milk and yogurt, you do not need vitamin supplements.

1 multivitamin is ok: If a person has knowledge of nutrition and has a very balanced diet, then he or she may not need to take a daily multivitamin because his foods contain enough. I recommend each person take a multivitamin because many people don't have a truly balanced diet. Some people also need extra vitamin D, calcium, folate, omega3, etc..., depending on individual issues. Generally, there are no side effects.

Workout Vitamins: To my knowledge there are no specific vitamins or minerals that are going to affect your workout.  Most people get the required minerals from their diet. As for vitamins, a good multi vitamin found at a nutrition store should cover most vitamins and minerals.  I personally take 1200 mg of calcium and 5000 units of vitamin d everyday.  Not many people get enough calcium in their diet.

It depends: 50,000 units of ergocalciferol(VitD2) is high dose prescription strength Vitamin D. I assume your physician diagnosed that you are Vitamin D deficient and/or you have significant Osteoporosis. If that is the case then this dose of Vitamin D, usually given once a week, is fine.

People should NOT take high doses of Vitamin D on their 
own as too much Vitamin D is harmful.

Vitamins: B-complex vitamins are water soluble vitamins that are found in normal foods, and are already part of your healthy diet. Unlike some vitamins and supplements, these won't hurt you even if taken in large doses - but you should know that no one has demonstrated health benefits to taking this or other vitamin supplements, unless your diet is severely deficient.
