Ask your own doctor: Please ask the doctor who prescribed this medicine for you.  S/he knows you and your case best.  I hope your doctor also talked with you about sleep hygiene and you are employing those suggestions before relying on Ambien (zolpidem) alone.  It does have side effects such as activation and sleepwalking in some patients.

As long as possible: You should wait at least 12 hours before taking ambien (zolpidem). If the drinks were very strong, you should wait a few more hours. It is not a good idea to mix alcohol with sleeping pills as they can slow or stop your breathing in high doses and cause oversedation or coma. It is better to find other ways to treat insomnia including cognitive behavioral therapy.

No: Both ambien and Xanax (alprazolam) can precipitate depression. With headaches and depression I think you need to get things sorted out (There are medications that will prevent headaches, help with sleep and manage depression.

Mixing Ambien (zolpidem): with trazodone may increase your risk for injury through somnambulism (sleep walking)  I suggest you get with the prescribing physician and discuss in detail the risk and benefits of using one, the other or both.

If prescribed that : Way. Ambien (zolpidem) is out of your system by now. As long as you're taking the prescribed dose of Oxycontin and he feel free to go ahead and do so. Also, for future reference, Ambien (zolpidem) as a minimal effect in terms of respiratory suppression so as long as you take the standard recommended adult dose of Ambien (zolpidem) along with the oxycodone i would not worry about it unless you happen to have advanced pulmonary disease. prescribed flexeril for neck / nerve pain and also ambien (zolpidem) for sleep. i have never taken the two on the same day. can i take ambien (zolpidem) to sleep after flex?

Careful with combo..: Both medicines can make you sleepy. It is possible to oversedate yourself when you combine two medicines like these that can make you sleepy. Be very careful.
