Ask your own doctor: Please ask the doctor who prescribed this medicine for you. S/he knows you and your case best. I hope your doctor also talked with you about sleep hygiene and you are employing those suggestions before relying on Ambien (zolpidem) alone. It does have side effects such as activation and sleepwalking in some patients.
