good evening. 9 month old daughter just started with fever a few hours ago. ranges between 37.5-38.2. have given panado. currently teething but has no other symptoms of pain and not uncomfortable. no flu symptoms. please help?

Watch and see: She is likely to have a viral illness which is often self limiting.  
As long as she stays active,  feeds fairly well, and look comfortable, just watch and see.  In case of drastic change noted in her well being or fever lasting over 3 days, seek a medical attention.

my 5yrs nine month old daughter has two extra teeth coming behind   the two big down.what do i do to correct it?

Not extra: It very well may be that her secondary teeth are erupting... She's at the right age. By now she should have already been to a dentist half a dozen times for checkups and cleanings. If not, now is the time to call a pediatric dentist or a general dentist who treats children, too.

my five yr nine month old girl has developed two teeth behind her lower front incisors what do i do.can it be removed?

Accepted Answer

Check up time: The crowded eruption of incisors is a very common occurrence. Sometimes the lower adult teeth come in front of- or behind- the baby teeth.  Ideally, you should encourage your daughter to try to 'work' the baby teeth out on her own.  If that cannot be accomplished,  then the dentist can certainly help remove the teeth.  And usually that should be done in coordination with a trip to the orthodontist.

is it possible for my 9 month old to run a 103 temp while teething?

Accepted Answer

No: Teething should not produce any elevation of temperature over 100.5. If no other symptoms at this time, make sure to offer extra fluids and then just monitor to see if any other new symptoms show up. If rash on trunk in a couple of days, could be roseola "baby measles", very common viral illness at this age.

Temporary: Teething pain can cause kids to alter feeding habits , if she is active , no fever than nothing to worry , it is temporary. Keep offering her solids and she my start again .

my 9 month old is constantly waking up at night crying in pain. i know he's teething, but could it be from switching from rice to oatmeal cereal?

Probably not teeth: It is unusual for teething to cause enough discomfort to awaken a child from sleep, unlike ear infections. His crying at night could be due to some separation fears which often arise at this age. I doubt the cereal change  is causing pain unless there is significant constipation. Try soothing him with a transition object like a blanket at bedtime and it may help during the night.

Teething
Fever: Teething will not produce a high fever. Please 1) Notify your child's Pediatrician and ask if she should be seen for an examination, and 2) Make sure your child is seen for her 1st Dental Examination, whether teeth are present or not, no later than her 1st birthday.

It happens: Many simple virus infections may generate little obvious symptoms until they end in a generalized rash. This would be the babies immune system depositing virus+antibody complexes near the skin surface where the temperature is cooler. If the kid gets back to her regular routine in a few days this was likely the cause. Food reactions might do something similar with raised hives.

what would the acetaminophen dose be for a healthy teething 26lb 9 month old? his pediatrician has approved the use but back when he was 18lbs.
