It is best to monitor this through clinical exams and x-rays with a dentist to evaluate whether or not there is room for them to come in or if they need to be removed when it is easier and has less associated risk. Consult with an Oral Surgeon, or your General Dentist.

Wide Variety: Although usually wisdom teeth (or third molars) erupt around 18-20 years old, there is a lot of variety in the timing. I have had patients as young as 12 begin to get these teeth. Sometimes the teeth do not come in at all and are called impacted. Most of the rest of the adult teeth come in closer to a more regular timing.

Typically we have : 4 "wisdom" teeth (3rd molars)  that form. However, wisdom teeth are the most likely of all teeth to fail to develop. Some people have none. Some have fewer than 4. And, I have removed 7 wisdom teeth from one patient.  Hope this helps.

No: Wisdom tooth  pain may be associated with inflammation or infection of the gum tissue that surrounds a wisdom tooth that is trying to erupt. Usually the tooth is fully developed by this time and not still 'growing'. 
This is one of the reasons why wisdom teeth are recommended for removal. A dentist can provide more information after an exam.
