Could be an STI: Some people get swollen glands all over when they have a cold. If you do not have a cold and are sexually active, swollen glands can be a sign of a sexually transmitted infection (STI). It may be best to get tested for STIs.

: Reactive lymph nodes which may be present in a upper respiratory illness or they may be due to an active bacterial infection in the oral cavity such as tooth infection, tonsillitis, etc. You do not need oral antibiotic if the reactive lymph nodes are due to a viral infection. Good luck.

Lymphadenopathy: These lymph nodes are busy doing what they are supposed to, fighting inflammation and helping to eliminate whatever your son had that was producing fever. They will return to normal in time. Best wishes for the holidays.

Those : Those swollen areas are called lymph nodes (often called glands, but they are not glands).  They usually get larger in response to inflammation.  Nodes on the back of the neck may be due to scalp or other skin problems.  If they continue to get larger of do not resolve they should be checked by a doctor.  The large one should be checked, especially if it does not respond to antibiotics.  Other things that can be done are blood tests to rule out certain rare  infections that can cause enlarged nodes that do not respond to normal antibiotics.  By far the most common cause of this swelling is inflammation, but if the cause is not found and they remain after antibiotics, biopsy is next.

: The most benign condition would be a reactive LN or possible EBV.  My concern would be lymphoma however and I would urge you to see your PMD for a complete evaluation ASAP.

: There are many viral infections or other illness that can cause such symptoms, aside from HIV. COVID-19 or strep throat probably are more likely than HIV, especially if not vaccinated against COVID. But it's impossible to know without more information, and impossible to know about HIV except with an HIV blood test. But post a new question with more detail of your symptoms and we'll try. ?See a doctor: Lymph nodes commonly go up and down in size in response to infections of all kinds, and may remain enlarged to some degree after an infection.  However, the nodes should not be larger than 1 cm or so in size, should not be hard, should not remain tender for extended periods, and should not enlarge progressively.  If any of this raises a concern, you should see a doctor.

Illness or teeth?: I would visit dentist to check for abcessed teeth.  If the dentist says teeth are fine, i would visit doctor to rule out virus or bacterial infection.   In the meantime, rest, drink plenty of fluids and take whatever over the counter medication works well for headaches.
