from time to time i stick a q-tip cotton swab up my nose because i like the feeling of sneezing. i know this might be a weid question. but can this lead to sinus infections and foul smell in nose. or anything else dangerous?

: I don't recommend inserting Q tips into the nasal cavities. The membranes are delicate and there's danger of introducing harmful bacteria or other pathogens as well. Try some noninvasive techniques to deal with your sneezing.

Head to the ER: Otitis Externa can be very painful &amp; debilitating. You might want to resubmit your question with what "meds not working" - as there is a difference between fungal and bacterial treatments.  Also, you want to ensure that your tympanic membrane does not become more inflamed. If it's so bad that you can't sleep, I'd suggest going to the ER to be evaluated, probably your best bet. Hope you feel better

No no no: Unless you are trying to make a salad in your ear keep oil out of your ear. Speaking of salads in your ear there is a role for white vinegar at times. In the case of chronic bacterial or fungal ear canal infections the vinegar can acidify the ear canal. Bacteria and fungus do not do well in the presence of acid like vinegar. As a general rule leave your ear alone. If your ear bothers you see ent.

i am on antibiotic for a severe ear infection for 2 days, still pain, and small drainage, is this normal? i used sweet oil & cotton prior to dr visit, now i am just taking antibiotic and ibuprophen.

I : I hope you are better by now. For anyone reading this post or for your future reference, you can always call the doctor that is treating you. He/she will tell you if they think you should come back into the office, go to the er, or they may just want to change your medication. 
In your case the antibiotics were not adequate or they may not have been necessary since many ear infections are viral and tend to clear on their own over time.
If for some reason you are still in pain and have not seen your doctor do so immediately.

Yes: Only clean the outer part of the ear and don't insert into the hole. You will wind up pushing in more wax then getting it out.

Why on earth do that: You will scrape and damage the delicate urethral lining at the meatus. Some men have an ill-advised compulsion to intruce objects into there penile urethra. They then go to the hospital emergency room if object slips out of their grasp and gets stuck in the urethra. Please don't do it. This is not a sensible or pleasant form of masturbation.

See your doctor: Using too much cotton swab can sometime cause trauma to the ear drum, you should check with your doctor.Meanwhile stop using cotton swab and take some over the counter pain medicine for pain.

Constipation: First of all quit giving him Karo syrup as there is a risk of infant botulism with this.  Secondly some babies may normally go this long without a BM.  Some go everyday or multiple times a day.  If he is acting well, eating and sleeping well, urinating well and his tummy is soft, then he is fine.  If not go see his pediatrician for an exam and tips for dealing with this.

Impossible to say: since marijuana's active ingredient is highly fat soluble and accumulates in fat cells.  Oral swabs do not only show oral residue, but reflect the THC metabolites which are excreted in saliva.  For someone who smokes only occasionally, it will be positive for 2-3 days, but for regular smokers (3-4 times/week) can be positive for 1-2 weeks, and in daily or heavy smokers, can be positive for months.
