Irritation: Whatever was in the pill may have irritated the tissues at the site in which it was lodged, or this may have been physical damage from the trauma. Have a doctor examine this.

ENT: I would suggest an ENT evaluation to make sure that you have not injured your eustachain tubes. Cannot diagnose online- sorry.

: Please have a Strep screening test, COVID 19 testing based on your description. Monitor temperature and breathing. Watch for shortness of breath and fever. Drink fluids and NSAIDs are often effective in relieving muscle aches. Follow up with your PCP or see urgent care for further management.

Sore throat: Congratulations on quitting smoking! It's unlikely that quitting smoking would lead to sore throat &amp; painful swallowing, although this could be due to coincidental infection, possibly a result of smoking (takes a while for all badness attributable to smoking to dissipate). If you had a longer history of smoking, then we'd worry about cancer. Regardless, if pain persists, see your Family Doc &amp; ENT.

Pain on swallowing: If you have allergies it maybe. drainage which can make your throat sore when you swallow with or without food. It can also feel swollen when you swallow. If you have smoked in the past you should get checked if tsymptoms last more than 2 weeks. Cancer pain will usually be persistent and grow worse with time.I tell my pts if they have a symptom that lasts for more than 2-3 weeks to come see me

Sore throats: Get seen. It's not from clearing your throat. Strep thirst can be deadly. There's other concerns too.

Achalasia/ structure: in this 30 yo pt with dysphasia to liquids and solids, an upper endoscopy is warranted +- barium swallow. A mechanical obstruction such as achalasia or esophageal strictures or gastric cancer are possible

Tonsil: Hard to tell from your description. You should have a culture but in some cases the problem is lower in the throat or a sign of silent acid reflux
